Intro
2020 marks the 8th anniversary of the publication of “The Busan Financial News,”
which was launched in 2012 as an independent corporation for readers in the Busan area
by the first-class financial newspaper, “The Financial News.”
The 7th Busan Global Finance Forum will be held on October 7th and will be co-hosted
by Busan Metropolitan City, BNK Financial Group, the Graduate School
of Finance of Pusan National University, and the Graduate School of Maritime Finance
of Korea Maritime & Ocean University.
Due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the novel coronavirus pandemic, a global wave
of changes is occurring, and so the financial industry’s framework is changing.
As Internet banking and mobile services have become universal due to the combination
of ICT technology in the untact era, conventional transactions through tellers are rapidly decreasing.
It has already been 10 years since Busan was appointed as a financial hub by the government.
It is time for us to actively seek a way to enhance competitiveness and develop Busan into a financial hub.
This is the reason why we set the theme of the 7th finance forum as “Develop Global Competitiveness
of Financial Hub Busan.”
We anticipate your great interest in and support for this forum.
