Introduction
AI-driven digital innovation is now moving beyond the software and services layer, shifting the battle for technological supremacy to "next-generation communications infrastructure" that fundamentally supports it.
With the explosive expansion of generative AI, global data traffic is increasing exponentially, and the need for an “intelligent communications network” capable of processing massive data with ultra-low latency and continuously evolving on its own is becoming more urgent than ever. This marks the dawn of the 6G era, where communications infrastructure and AI are fully integrated.
6G goes beyond simply providing faster speeds than 5G. It will serve as the core backbone enabling futuristic technologies such as fully autonomous driving, urban air mobility (UAM), immersive spatial computing, and smart factories to become real-world business applications.
In particular, as networks evolve into an “AI-native” ecosystem capable of self-learning and self-optimization, companies will be required not only to improve productivity but also to fundamentally reshape their business models and drive infrastructure-level innovation.
Global tech giants and leading nations are already engaged in an intense, silent race, investing enormous capital to secure leadership in 6G commercialization, which is expected around 2030.
According to major market research firms, the 6G infrastructure and converged services market is expected to generate trillions of dollars in economic value over the coming decades. In this context, companies and countries that proactively integrate AI-network convergence technologies and take the lead in 6G standardization will gain a decisive advantage in the future market.
Against this backdrop, the Financial News is hosting the 17th Future ICT Forum under the theme “AX Strategy for Hyper AI Network Era”
Based on the latest industry issues, including next-generation AI network infrastructure strategies that will determine the core competitiveness of nations and companies, the forum will discuss paradigm shifts in future communications technologies, corporate and national strategies to secure global leadership, and how the communications–AI convergence ecosystem will be reshaped in the years ahead.
