What began with generative AI is evolving into AI agents, physical AI, and AI infrastructure competition, reaching a new inflection point. Global technology leaders and governments are increasingly recognizing AI as a core driver of national competitiveness, expanding large-scale investments and partnerships. Across industries, organizations are also seeking new growth opportunities centered on AI.
Against this backdrop, AI WORLD 2026 will take place on September 9, 2026, at Lotte Cinema Jamsil in Seoul under the theme “AI Shift – The New Economy.” Co-hosted by Financial News and the Ministry of Science and ICT, AI WORLD is Korea’s premier annual AI forum and the nation’s only AI conference. Now in its sixth year, the event has brought together global AI companies, policymakers, and industry leaders over the past five years to discuss the future of AI technology, industry, and policy.
This year’s conference will be built around three strategic pillars – Intelligence, Industries, and Alliance – and will provide in-depth insights into how the evolution of AI technology will be transforming industries and economies, reshaping industrial ecosystems, and redefining cooperation and competition among nations and businesses.
The program will feature leaders from some of the world’s most influential AI companies, including OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Mistral, alongside executives from leading Chinese AI startups. Together, they will share insights into the latest developments and long-term vision for the global AI market. In addition, senior representatives from the Korean government and industry join the conversation to discuss AI policy priorities and strategies for strengthening industries.
AI WORLD 2026 will serve as a platform to examine the emerging economic landscape shaped by AI and to explore new opportunities for collaboration amid rapid technological, industrial, and policy transformations alongside global AI leaders.
